  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • ½ cup almonds
  • ½ cup hazelnuts
  • 1½ cups coconut threads
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  1. Heat your oven to 180°C / 360°F.
  2. Throw your nuts into your food processor. Pulse a few times until chopped to your liking, smallish chunks.
  3. In a small saucepan over a medium heat, melt coconut oil, maple syrup, cacao and salt together. Add vanilla essence.
  4. In a bowl, mix through the coconut oil, cacao salt and syrup. Spread evenly onto a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes. Stir. Bake for another 10 minutes until golden.
  6. When cooked, cool completely and then store in an airtight container. I keep mine in the fridge.
