Jazmin Berakha Embroiders Colour & Pattern

Latins are tenderly enthusiastic. In Brazil they throw flowers at you. In Argentina they throw themselves. (Marlene Dietrich)

Back in April I posted about Emily Barletta and Her Red Thread. Through Emily’s blog I discovered the work of the ever-so-talented Jazmin Berakha.

She is an artist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her embroidery work is stunning (although she works in other mediums, too). The way she marries colour and pattern so seamlessly is just beautiful.

See what you think…

Wow! Again.
So vibrant and original, fantastic pieces.

Zac – you are a tibbie with superb taste!

I love the picture of the girl in the shorts…. infact I love those shorts. Really gorgeous colours.

Apparently, she has only been embroidering for 3 years!!! No pressure on us, BCD!

Fun post Syders! I want flowers thrown at me. Gotta go to Rio! 🙂 actually some of the images above look like cropped street art.

I wanna’ go to Rio, too! 🙂

Such great colours and I can only imagine the work involved in those pieces. Amazing. As with seeing images in clouds (or bubbles), I can see black cats and other things amongst the shapes and colours of her work. Or maybe I have had too much coffee today! 🙂

Maybe we need to lock in a date for a pinot noir night with BCD, then?

Beautiful and quirky patterns – love all that color! 🙂

She’s talented, isn’t she, S?

absolutely stunning!
