Jonathan Adler Does White Well…

I feel safe in white because deep down inside, I’m an angel. (Puff Daddy)

Sure you are, P.Diddy…

You may recall that way back in April I posted about the fabulously-fun-yet-not-quite-quirky Jonathan Adler (here, if you feel like a refresher). Well, recently I saw a great video at 99U where the highly commercial-yet-irreverent Mr Adler talks about keeping other people’s opinions out of your creative process. I have to say, I do like him and his approach.

Anyhoo, that put Jonathan Adler in my mind, AND I’m in that ‘what do I buy <insert name here> for Christmas?’ space, so I revisited his site and found all sorts of goodies, which just happen to be (mostly) white.

Perhaps some ideas for the silly season?

White is actually one of my favorite colours. I have a white car. I love white. (Kim Kardashian)

LOVE Jonathan Adler. I love his Xmas decorations too!

Hello lovely M! How are you? How is the move coming along?

Heading to check out JA’s Christmas decorations now…

I am great Syders! Finally unpacked – the hurricane delayed all our Pod delivery! Today it’s rainy in LA but I’ll take that over snow and freeze factor. Did you check out the Xmas decorations? just as with an esty.com splurge one year, another year I sent the fam J.A decorations. I bought my mum one of his large cats but it broke while being shipped from NYC to SYD. 🙁 He has a store in LA. Drove past it a few days ago! How’s Iyengar yoga going?

Jonathan Adler’s work is fun. I love the Uppers Canister. I love the quotes! T. (I agree. It’d make a great-looking candy jar. Now I’m hungry for chocolate. . .)

T – I investigated shipping 3 canisters here for Christmas. It was going to cost US$538. Needless to say, I have discarded that idea!

I’m back. I just checked out J.A.’s site. Have you seen his dog and cat dishware? He even has a “Kitty Crack” canister! T. (Thanks for the tip!)

I am all for the uppers canister…. I love the giraffe lamp too… will definitely check this site out.

BCD – Shipping costs are ASTRONOMICAL!!!

‘Sure you are, P-diddy’ – lol
nice picks from Jonathan Adler! We met him at the vet once in the east village, we didn’t know it was him, he overheard our ordeal of bringing out dogs from the US to the UK, he said he was there to open a store, he looked into bringing his dog too.. we asked which store and was like oo!! thought he looked familiar.. :X
