I spotted these über cool furniture pieces recently in Trendland. I thought the concept was inspired.

In 2010 Ciszak Dalmas launched “La Clinica” – a collection of handcrafted furniture produced by local artisans based in three different parts of the world: Madrid (Spain), Turin (Italy) and São Paulo (Brazil). La Clinica is based on the interaction between young designers and experienced artisans, which combines new ideas with centuries-old know-how. The result is three different collections made from the same design and produced differently according to the local traditions and material resources.

Each piece is made from solid wood and painted with water-based colors. They are designed to be completely dismountable, lowering the costs of shipping and storage. The furniture has a much lower CO2 footprint, too thanks to the efficient use of natural materials and following the rules for a correct use of forest resources, that means using wood which is programmed to be cut and replanted.

In 2010, Ciszak Dalmas received the first prize of the INJUVE Young Designs Awards for La Clinica and in the last twelve months has been invited to present its collection in International exhibitions in Europe, China and South America (but not Australia, yet!).

Dalmas completely deserves to win awards for these designs. Wow!

It’s clever, isn’t it?

Handsome. What a FAB idea, to boot. I’m digging the entire set. Perfect accent pieces. Especially the bike. I could use it for my summer blouses, smocks and books. I guess I could also use it as a desk. Daydreaming. . .Thanks! T. (I love the wood and white paint combo.)

The bike is my favourite, too. 🙂

Now I DO like this blog.

I am not at all surprised that you do! X

This appeals to my love of all things upcycled and quirky… another great find TSL.

Lovely, aren’t the BCD? Sometimes the simplest things really are gorgeous.

These are realy, as you say, inspired J! Very clean and contemporary – while still keeping up with that quirk factor so loved at this lovely blog of yours. Love the bike wheel!

Hello lovely S! Yes – the bike wheel is my favourite, too!

I completely agree with Shira – that bike wheel is genius!

Not sure where I would put it, Yogi M – but, doesn’t stop me coveting one…

These look great and I love the philosophy behind them too – that would make them guilt-free purchases! 🙂

You reckon, Sparks? Guilt free… Now, I just want one even more…

LOVE these TSL! So cool. Will have to flag them up at work! 🙂

Yes! Then when I see it in a later edition (which always take forever to get all the way down here), I can bask in the knowledge that my wee blog might have influenced this big, far-reaching magazine… It’s nice to dream!

I love the minimalism, so fresh and clean. I want it ALL!

I want that coffee table…

I’ll see what I can do!
